Biography

By profession I am a master in philosophy, a certified teacher of animal protection and a yoga instructor. Also, past and present, I am an activist with extensive experience in various areas of animal rights, from the theoretical, educational practice, channeled into my writings. I have collaborated with leading non-governmental organizations, promoting veganism and the equal treatment of all sensual beings. Some of them are: Animal Friends Croatia, Group for Monitoring, Animal Protection and Nature Conservation of the Novi Sad Humanitarian Centre, Society for the Protection of Animals and Nature Djurdjevo, Association for the protection of animals Novi Sad – SPANS, Freedom for Animals, Phoenix – Society for the Protection of Animals and Development of Civic Consciousness, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) etc. I was the founder and leader of the organization Animal Friends in Serbia.

As a long time journalist, I published many articles on bioethics, aesthetics, ecophilosophy, yoga and healthy lifestyles. I am an author and co-author of numerous collections of papers, scripts, journals, books and bulletins. I write philosophical papers, socially engaged essays and critical reviews. As a practical philosopher, I am engaged in philotherapy and research of biocentric ethics, deep ecology and social activism. I have independently performed as a lecturer at congresses, symposiums, forums and round tables on various topics.

These experiences affected what I am doing today. Within associations for nature protection, I teach animal protection and the environment through school and extracurricular activities, and I hold seminars for adults on ecosophy and animal rights (animalistic bioethics). I teach preschool children mental gymnastics skills, which represent a kind of combination of intellectual and physical activities, with the aim of developing the potential of young people. I am a volunteer with the animal rights organization Anonymous for the Voiceless, international animal rights and planet conservation group Our Planet. Theirs Too., and worldwide network of groups for the rights of farm animals Animal Save Movement, where I participate in educating the public about the treatment of animals and spread a clear vegan message. Ahimsa Yoga & Art is the name of my yoga school and the workshop of objects of applied art that I create, by which I promote the philosophy of non-violence.

I am a member of Bioethics Society of Serbia, International Forum of Teachers (IFT) of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics, Association for the Environmental Protection Refugium, Club of Teachers, Independent Journalists’ Association of Vojvodina (NDNV), Namaste India Club, Research Foundation International of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and other organizations with which I implement innovative educational programs. Also, I am a member of a sports association Fit Land, association of independent societies and instructors Yoga Serbia and Yoga Alliance, accredited with designations E-RYT 500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) and YACEP (Continuing Education Provider), by which I promote the integrity and diversity of yoga.

I see my personal and professional growth and achievement through continually raising the level of my own knowledge and skills, using available resources as well as personal experiences, in order to realize the ideas that I stand for.
